This class is for puppies under 18 weeks of age and focuses on the three urgent tasks that all new puppy owners face before the closure of a key developmental window: teaching bite inhibition, housetraining and providing frequent and safe exposure to all of the worldly things the puppy will face in its life (socialization). While not as pressing as the three primary tasks, students are also introduced to basic manners and learn how to prevent common behavior issues, such as barking, chewing, whining, separation anxiety and resource guarding.

Puppies must be 18 weeks or younger as of the date
of the first class
This class covers basic manners, including sit, down, stay, touch, leave it, go to mat, come and the beginning stages of loose leash walking. Students also learn how to troubleshoot and eliminate common nuisance behaviors, such as jumping, chewing and barking.
PREREQUISITES
Puppy 1 or any other intro training level course from another school.
AGE
Puppies must be 18-32 weeks old as of the date of the first class.
This is an introductory training class for dogs older than 18 weeks of age. Covered behaviors include sit, down, stay, touch, leave it, go to mat, come and the beginning stages of loose leash walking. Students also learn how to troubleshoot and eliminate common nuisance behaviors, such as jumping, chewing and barking.

This class builds upon the behaviors learned in DOG 1 by strengthening impulse control with increased distractions. Advanced leash skills are introduced, and students learn how to create their own training plan by choosing and teaching their dog a new trick.

This class arms students and their dogs with the necessary skills to take advantage of the many outdoor activities that are available in their area. Extreme recall, advanced leash skills, reactions to distractions and wildlife avoidance are covered.

PUPPY 2, DOG 1, or any intro training class from another school
